I Wish I Had More

Think of the last time you were impatient with someone…saying things you regretted. Later in the day all you could think about was wishing you had more patience.
Think of making a presentation in front of a group. You didn’t feel good about your performance…and walked away wishing you had more confidence.
I know I’ve experienced both of those scenarios. Â
It’s not uncommon for us to experience things we struggle with and think having more positive qualities would make it better. It’s like somehow, we should be born with things like patience and confidence and life would flow much more smoothly. That’s not how life works.
Consider this concept:
If we want patience, does our Divine give us the patience…or the opportunities to be patient?
If we want confidence, does our Divine give us the confidence…or the opportunities to be confident?
Let’s go a little further.
If we’re at a place in our life where we want our family to be more loving and kinder, does our Divine give us all kinds of warm fuzzy feelings…or the opportunities to be loving and kind inside of ourselves leaving us to then witness more love and kindness in our family members?
This concept can apply to the different things we struggle or are in conflict with. Â
What has it been for you? I invite you to become aware of the things you think you don’t have and are wishing you already had…and notice what comes up for you.
When we have awareness…we have everything. Why? Because once we are aware, we can make new choices, if needed.
Wherever you are on your journey, may you find your own truth…find what works for you… and you’ll always be guided to feel at peace inside.Â
