Break It Down

How many times do we continue to struggle with something because it’s toooooooo big to deal with right now? We tell ourselves things like we don’t know how, we don’t have time, we don’t fully understand what’s going on.

Those are some of the reasons why we end up becoming emotional and struggling longer than we want to.

We can take something we perceive is too big and break it down by being more specific. Have a look at these three examples:

Relationships…that’s a pretty big word involving many elements. When we talk about having problems in our relationships, what specifically are we referring to?

Does it have to do with things like communication, commitment, trust issues, spending time with just one person, getting close or dependability?

Are we struggling in one or two relationships…or in every single one of them?

Finances…people say they struggle with their finances. The word finances is another big word that encompasses many things.

Does the struggle have to do with things like spending, saving, investing, having cash available, borrowing, lending, credit cards or bank balances?

Are we struggling in one or two areas…or with every single thing finance related?

Accounting…another big word. As a business owner, accounting can be another area where we tend to struggle, especially if we’re not accountants.

Does the struggle have to do with things like keeping track of our business expenses, entering income details, processing GST payments, learning an accounting program or paying an accountant?

Are we struggling with one or two parts…or with everything accounting related?

All three examples above are just some of the areas where we need to be more specific if we want to move through the struggles.

Energetically speaking, if we approach something like finances thinking we don’t know how to fix it, that can feel overwhelming causing us to struggle. This rapidly drains our energy. No wonder we try not to think about it.

Consider this process for taking something big and breaking it down:

1.     Think of an area where you struggle.

2.     Become aware of the things that you perceive to be ‘too big’ to deal with and break them down into smaller more manageable parts.

3.     Go inwardly asking yourself what you find easy and what seems difficult to do? Then what seems the most difficult? (this is where you’ll experience the most struggle, where the reactions surface.)

4.     Reactions indicate there’s unrest inside and it’ll be that unrest that’s causing you to struggle. Healing and resolving that unrest clears the reactions leaving you with clarity, focus and forward action.

Having awareness moves us into the most empowering position. Why? Because when we are aware, we can make new choices, if needed.

If you’re interested in a one-on-one session so you can have clarity, focus and forward action, I’d love to connect.

Wherever you are on your journey, may you find your own truth…find what works for you… and you’ll always be guided to feel at peace inside.
